Bio
Michelle Jong is a Chinese American actress, writer, singer and avid media consumer based in New York City.
Michelle pivoted into acting after a few years exploring law. Finding her way in 2023 to the Atlantic Acting School’s Evening Conservatory Program, Michelle decided to chase her dreams of becoming an actor. She will be in the upcoming annual Alumni Showcase as part of a team of fourteen actors chosen from Atlantic’s alumni cohort. Michelle is also starring in a short film, Buddy, which discusses the complex intersectional gender politics between two bridesmaids, for which Michelle also wrote the screenplay. Michelle is also a passionate and avid improviser and is currently developing her craft in classes at the Brooklyn Comedy Collective.
Michelle is passionate about breathing life into unconventional stories that reveal to us our humanity and ask us to question our understanding of ourselves. She wishes to contribute to the changing landscape of Asian American art through greater representation and an empathetic and emotionally nuanced portrayal of character.
Michelle’s always down to paint a pair of jeans, chat about all things improv, the world of woo-woo and horoscopes (especially if you can teach me something), ruminate on what you think a movie/show is really trying to say, and discuss celebrity death conspiracy theories.
